1. What are your venue capacities?

Civil Ceremony / Theatre Style

The Marble Hall – 140 guests, Dining Room - 100 guests, The Long Gallery - 250 guests, Mymms Room – 70 guests and The Worthies Room - 50 guests.

External

The Loggia - 250 guests ‘please note that all external furniture e.g. chairs for ceremony, garden tables, parasols, sofas etc to be hired by the client’  

Dining / Banquet on round tables

The Marble Hall – 130 guests, The Long Gallery – 150 including top table.

The Marquee – 350 guests banquet style.

2. Do you offer parking?

Yes, we offer free parking for up to 250 cars.

We also provide security and car parking attendants to assist with your event.

3. Are you licenced to hold civil ceremonies at your venue?

Yes, we have several licenced rooms to chose from both inside and out.

If you decide to use one of our stunning rooms or The Loggia (outside) for your ceremony, you will need to book with the Hertfordshire registration office on 0300 123 4045 email: registrars.admin@hertfordshire.gov.uk Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 4pm.

4. Do you allow external caterers?

You may bring in your own preferred caterer (excluding British cuisine, please see below) by prior arrangement providing they meet our compliance criteria mentioned below.

  • Health & Hygiene Certificate, Hygiene rating of 4* or above, Public liability insurance of £10m, please note that only registered companies are permitted and must undertake a full briefing and risk assessment being carried out.
  • For all dry hire packages, a shell bar will be provided with bottle fridges, please note at least one personal licence holder must be present for drinks service/bar service at all times.
  • Outside bars are subject to approval of the management of North Mymms Park.
5. British Catering

We work with two preferred caterers, details can be provided upon request.

6. How can I secure a date?

A non-refundable booking deposit of 20% is required to secure the venue.

50% of the balance to be paid 6 months prior to the date of the function.

The final outstanding balance to be paid 3 months prior to the date of the function.

Any bookings made within 90 days of the date of the event must be settled at time of booking.

A refundable damage deposit of £1,500 must be paid prior to the function. This will be returned within 10 working days post event.

7. Can I provide my own entertainment/music?

Yes, we allow DJ’s and bands providing they have the relevant public liability insurance of £5m and PAT test certificates for all their equipment and submitted to North Mymms Park.

We advise you to confirm this prior to hiring any DJ/band for the event.

North Mymms Park has a sound restriction of 95decibells and this must be adhered to at all times.

We do not allow bubble machines, confetti bombs within any internal areas.

Outside music to be acoustic only such as a string quartet and only permitted until 6pm

8. Can I provide my own venue decorator/florist?

Yes you can, providing your chosen suppliers have the relevant public liability insurance of £5m and PAT test certificates for all their equipment and submitted to North Mymms Park. We advise you to confirm this prior to hiring a decorator.

Mandap’s are permitted, however, they must be free standing. Please ensure that no items are fixed to the floors, walls, ceilings, columns or any fixtures and fittings of the venue.

We do allow dry petals and lavender seeds and no non bio degradable confetti.

9. Do you allow fireworks/candles/naked flames?

Unfortunately, fireworks are not permitted within the estate.

Candles with naked flames will not be permitted within the estate except for mandap ceremony where a haven flame is allowed. (Please note this must be arranged via prior arrangement). LED/flicker candles will be permitted.

10. Do you have disabled access?

Yes, North Mymms Park is fully DDA compliant. Please notify a member of staff if a guest requires any assistance.

11. Will North Mymms Park coordinate my day for me?

No, unfortunately we do not offer coordination on the day. We do however provide a duty manager who will be available to answer all your caterer/supplier needs.
